Richard Hipke, Ex-President of Canners, Is Dead
New Holstein – Richard R. Hipke, 58, former president of the Wisconsin Canners Association (1954), and a director of the Association for eight years, died here Tuesday. Mr. Hipke had also served as a director of the Nation Canners Association for a three–year term. He was secretary of A. T. Hipke and Sons, Inc., New Holstein. He was a former mayor of New Holstein, secretary of N. H. Builders, and directory of the Peoples State Bank of New Holstein and of the A. A. Laun Co.
Mr. Hipke is survived by his wife; a son, Alfred R., and two daughters, Mrs. John Leibham and Harriet, all of New Holstein, and three brothers, Gilbert J. and Howard, both of New Holstein, and Robert A., Milwaukee.
Masonic funeral rite will be held Friday in the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral home, New Holstein.
