PFC. APOLLO C. ABELIN
EMERY, Emery County, June 4--Final tribute will be paid to Pfc. 1cl Apollo C. Abelin, Emery, at graveside services Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Emery cemetery.
A veteran of three years service, Pfc. Abelin was killed June 25, 1944, in the battle of Saipan, after serving in battles on the Gilbert and Makin islands.
Pfc. Abelin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and at the time of his death was a priest.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Alvin Torgersen, Spring Canyon; two brothers and six sisters, Milton and Magnus Abelin, Mrs. Florence Anderson; Mrs. Mildred Brinkerhoff and Eloise Torgersen, all of Spring Canyon, Mrs. Marjorie Burr and Mrs. Doraleen Gates, both of Salina, and Mrs. Lenna Bell Williams, Pacific Beach, Wash.
