Actress. She will be best remembered as the housekeeper "Mrs. Chernak" in the mid-1960s television series "Peyton Place". Raised in New Jersey, she worked in New York for the elite Powers Modeling Agency a and appeared on Broadway before moving to California. Her television debut came in the 1951 "Lights Out"; she was to appear regularly thru the late 1970s in "Gunsmoke", "Star Trek", "Hazel", "Wagon Train", "Marcus Welby, M.D.", and other shows of the time. On the silver screen, 1956 saw her in "The Price of Fear", and "The Wrong Man" (opposite Henry Fonda). In 1965 she was to land the role of Mrs. Chernak on "Peyton Place", playing it for two seasons. After appearing in the 1978 "Project U.F.O." she retired to Encino where she worked as a realtor and as a volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Anna married actor Jeff Morrow (deceased 1993) in 1947, was sometimes billed as Anna Karen Morrow, lived out her days in Southern California, and was a frequent guest at film conventions and autograph shows.
