Jerome P. ''Jerry" Wenner, 76, passed away July 4, 2006.

Born in Barberton, he was a life resident and retired from Goodyear Aerospace-Loral after 34-1/2 years of service. He was a graduate of John Carroll University and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where he was active in the Holy Hour Program, was an Altar Server and past president of the Holy Name Society. Jerry was a member of KofC Council 1617 where he served as Past Grand Knight. He was also a Past President of the Akron Serra Club, Barberton Jaycees and Catholic Service League. Jerry was also a member of Barberton Sports Boosters, Hungarian Club, Amvets and a proud Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence; grandson, Michael McNair; sister, Genevieve Roth; and brothers, Elmer, Jack, Glenn and Bob; survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Kathleen ''Kay"; daughters, Kathy (Al) Payne, Mary Beth (Tim) Swickard, Ann (Kevin) Dirling and Theresa (Terry) Cope; sons, Thomas and Charles (Kari); grandchildren, Joni (Zac) Coughlin, Katie (Lucas) Bower, Amy McNair, Carolyn Payne, Beth, Brian, Kyle and Keri Swickard, Andy and Matt Vielhaber, Michael and Tammy Cope, Kim, Erika, Brittany and Samantha Wenner and Madilyn and Mason Wenner; one great-grandchild on the way; sisters, Mary Jamieson and Gladys (Joe) Stark; brother-in-law, Murray (Mary Lou) Tonathy; sisters-in-law, Catherine Wenner and Mary Wenner;
