Mrs. Uriel Jones died at her residence at Saundersville, Tennessee, March 2, 1917, aged 87 years 11 months and 12 days. She was a member of the Methodist Church for 45 years. Her maiden name was Susan J. Leddy.
She was married to Uriel Jones in 1851. He preceeded her to the grave 25 years ago. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. W. J. and J.R. Mitchell of Cottontown, J.L. and Uriel Jones of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Kate Hamilton of Joplin, Missouri, J.H. and Miss Alice Jones of Saundersville, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many friends and relatives.
Funeral services were conducted by C.C. Hiskley on Sunday, March 4th. Internment was in the Gallatin Cemetery.
