Samuel was the oldest of three children born to James Polk and Sallie Jane (Yokley) Fry. He was never married.

Rites Will Be
On Thursday For
Sam J. Fry, 73

Funeral services for Sam J. Fry, 73, retired Lynnville farmer, will be conducted at his home at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon by the Rev. N. O. Allen, pastor of the Lynnville Methodist Church, with burial in Lynnwood Cemetery.
Mr. Fry died at a Nashville hospital at 10:30 o'clock yesterday morning following an illness of several weeks.
A son of the late Jim and Ann Yokley Fry, he was a life-long resident of Lynnville.
Surviving is one brother, J. N. Fry of New Orleans.
Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Will Blackburn, Carter Witt, Joe Cheatham, Richard Wilsford and Lindsey Moore.
Oakes & Nichols is in charge.
