ST. CHARLES, Iowa — Mankato native Martin John Ulmen, 64, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 1996, at his home in St. Charles, Iowa,
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Kale Funeral Home, Oseola, Iowa.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ulmen was born Aug. 3, 1932, to Martin and Lucille (Prom) Ulmen in Mankato. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had farmed near Mankato and Henderson. He had lived in Missouri before he moved to St. Charles in 1980, He married Marilyn Young on June 3, 1989.
Mr. Ulman is survived by his wife; two stepchildren; two grandchildren; two brothers, Cyril and Barbara of Asaria, Kan., and Norbert and Doris of Monroe, Wis.; four sisters and their husbands, Pat and Dennis Juenemann of Clements, Mary Ann and Lloyd Bentley of Kerkhoven, Theresa and Bernie Widmer of Le Sueur and Barbara and Carl Gehrke of Green Isle; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
