In 1866, Andrew and Hanna Nilson were married in Sweden. Hanna was born in 1845 in Sweden. She possibly died in Sweden as she is not buried in the Millville Cemetery.
About 1874, Andrew and Anna 'Annie' P. Jenson Hjorth were married in Millville. Annie was the widow of Peter Herman 'Pete' Hjorth who died in 1872. Annie was born August 15, 1853, in Gettinge, Gardstanga, Sweden, the daughter of Jens Jensen and Elsa Nilsson. Her father died when she was eleven years old; and the following year, Annie and her three sisters came with their mother to Millville. She and her mother sheared sheep for a share of the wool which she washed, carded and spun into yarn.
Annie brought two children to the marriage, Joan Vilate (Isreal Barlow) and Agusta (died as a child).
