Levie was the son of Merida Eugene "Gene" and Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Walters Fisher. His parents are buried in Holly Springs Cemetery near Montalba in Anderson County, TX. He graduated from Palestine (TX) High School. He married Bertha Evelyn Arnwine 11 June 1932 in Dallas, TX. They were the parents of one daughter, Linda Lee Hall, and one son, Festus Eugene Fisher, who is buried in Restland. Levie served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge 1117 in Dallas, TX. He was residing in Dallas at the time of his death there. He was survived by his wife, Bertha Arnwine Fisher; one daughter, Linda Lee Fisher Hall; one brother, Lewis Eugene Fisher; one sister, Ida Fisher Williams; and three grandchildren. His obituary was published in the Dallas Morning News, 23 March 1977.
