Mary Fitzpatrick (nee Kane), 90, of Norwood, died on July 14, 2009.
She was the beloved wife of the late Jerome D. Fitzpatrick.
She was born in Philadelphia on May 1, 1919, daughter of the late Joseph Anthony and Mary Elizabeth (nee Fitzgerald) Kane.
She graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School and was a member of the alumni.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, playing bingo and was a Philadelphia Phillies fan.
She was very musical and was past organist and choir director for St. Gabriel Church and secretary for the St. Gabriel School in Norwood.
She was the dear mother of Mary Kathryn Costello (John) of Prospect Park, Edward Fitzpatrick (Peggy, nee Mulroy) of East Fallowfield, Jerome J. Fitzpatrick (Nancy) of Winter Springs, Fla., and the late Daniel M. Fitzpatrick; grandmother of six: Jason, Eric, John, Maureen, Edward and Timothy; and predeceased by grandsons, Daniel and Michael Fitzpatrick.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Rosemary Kane, and her soon-to-be granddaughters-in-law, Suzanne Curran and Jacqueline DiCampli.
She was the sister of the late Jack Kane, Eileen Bono and Joseph Kane.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday, July 18, after 8:30 a.m. at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, followed by her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Gabriel, Mohawk Avenue, Norwood.
Interment will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 225 City Ave., Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004; or Little Flower Manor, 1201 Springfield Road, Darby, PA 19023
