Hillsboro - Edna L Gross, age 87, passed away on Monday, September 9, 1991 at the St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born on February 24, 1904 to August and Regina Harms at Rock Springs. She was married on November 24, 1926 to Wesley Gross. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1986. They farmed near Hillsboro for many years until moving to the city in 1960. Survivors include three sisters, Martha Harms of Madison, Agnes Klitzke of Rock Springs, Alma Pafford of Delavan; a brother Martin of Sauk City; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Emma Fulton, Freda Klitzke and Amanda Vertein; and two brothers, Ernest and Henry. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, at 1:30p.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Hillsboro with Reverend Conrad Prell officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Tuesday from 6:00p.m. until 9;00p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from noon until 1:30p.m.
