Mrs. Catherine Armstrong, 90, of 946 W. Highwood Rd., Beaverton, died Saturday, Jan. 2, in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a long illness. Born in Huron County on August 10, 1891, she came to Gladwin County in 1913. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Beaverton Presbyterian Church. The former Catherine Sinclair, she was married to William E. Armstrong March 27, 1913, in Elkston. He preceded her in death October 10, 1969. Surviving are 2 sons, William J. of Morrency and Ellis of Wauseon, Ohio; 2 daughters, Mrs. Curt (Alta) Lindenberg of Midland and Mrs. Emil (Nina) Lechner of Gladwin; 2 sisters, Mrs. Etta McMellan of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Rachel Croft of Ohio, 11 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. One daughter, Mary H. Armstrong, also preceded her in death in 1936. Services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev.
