Lucille Cox, age 76, widow of Leonard Cox was born February 27, 1933 and entered Heaven on Sunday, July 19, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Arnold & Emma Marie (Clark) Vickers.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Lucille was also preceded in death by a brother- Lonzo Vickers and by two sisters- Deloris Million and Oma Jean McDaniel.
Lucille is survived by ten children- Linda (James) Cox of McKee, Lola (Phillip) Holliman of McKee, Lester Cox of McKee, Ledford Cox of McKee, Lois Sutterfield of Richmond, Lowell (Ruby) Cox of Gray Hawk, Lillie Cox of Gray Hawk, Lee (Simpson) Cox of Berea, Levi Cox of McKee & Lonnie (Debbie) Cox of Berea. Survivors also include a brother- Cecil Vickers of Indiana; five half brothers- Tommy Vickers of Gray Hawk, Noah Vickers of Indiana, Joe Vickers of Indiana, Danny Dale Vickers of Texas & Bobby Vickers of Indiana and two half sisters- Margie Vickers and Patsy Vickers both of Indiana. She was blessed with twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Lucille was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church #1.
Funeral service was held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Million officiating. Burial followed in the Cox Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Troy Taylor, Billy Joe Isaacs, Lowell & Glenn Cox, Joe Kelly & Gary Wayne Vickers. Honorary pallbearers were Johnathan & Leonard T.J. Cox, James Isaacs, Steven & Phillip Holliman.
