Born 30 Nov 1900 at Mt. Sterling, Cache, Utah; married 1 Dec 1926 at Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho; Estella (Stella) Wright, daughter of Hugh Alexander Wright and Frances Eliza Roylance.

Rulon received his elementary and High School education in Logan. After several years as a ranch hand he moved to Rexburg, Idaho, and attended Ricks College, where he was active in sports and popular in music circles. For two years he was Chief of Rexburg Fire Department. He has been Sales and Service Manager for Hoover Company in Provo, Utah, for forty-five years. Stella received her education in Rexburg, Idaho. They presently live in Provo, Utah, where they have lived most of their married life and are active in the various LDS organizations.

Rulon and Stella had the following children:

Rulon Jack Redford, Glendon Bruce Redford, Ruth Nadene Redford, and Larry Wright Redford.
