Mrs. Lula Oliver

Mrs. Lula Oliver, 69, died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday at her home on Route 5. She had been ill a year.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1882 in Mason County, W.Va., the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Stone Durst. Her husband, Charles H. Oliver, died in 1941.

Mrs. Oliver was a member of the Household of Faith Church in Massieville.

Surviving are seven sons, Roy, Roudy, Henry and Jack Oliver, all of Route 5; Pearl Oliver, Point Pleasant, W.Va., Harold Oliver, Springfield, and Edward Oliver, Huntington, W.Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Weldon Bucy, Route 5; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Schwarz and Mrs. Zillian Hartley, both of Pt. Pleasant, W.Va.; eight brothers, Harry and Jasper Durst, both of Middleport, and Barto, Charles, Dana, William, Densel and Wally Durst, all of Pt. Pleasant, W.Va.; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Joseph Dennewitz will officiate at the service, to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Mission Church in Pt. Pleasant, W.Va. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery by the Ware Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday.
