Ruby Alice Daniel, 86, of Ravencliff Road, Bolt, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, following a sudden illness.

Born Oct. 15, 1915, in Raleigh County, she was the daughter of the late Larkin "Austin" Bailey (1887-1942) and Nancy "May" Snuffer-Bailey-Dickens (1895-1996).

Mrs. Daniel was a lifelong resident of the Bolt and Glen Rogers area. She was a charter member of the Bolt Fundamental Baptist Church, and she loved to quilt, crochet and grow flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Cecil Daniel (1907-1983) whom she married on July 29, 1930 in McGraws, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1930, Page 287, Application Date: July 29, 1930).

Survivors include two sons, James Chilton Daniel and his wife, Janet F., of Ravencliff and Leslie Clark Daniel and his wife, Janet B., of Bolt; four daughters, Lois Daniel-Bailey of Glen Rogers, Bonnie Daniel-Lafferty and her husband, Eugene, of Glen Rogers, Gloria Daniel-Brooks and her husband, Ira, of Fairdale and Nancy Daniel-Griffith and her husband, Weldon, of Fairdale; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Bailey and Carman Bailey, both of Bolt; two sisters, Bernice Acord of Bolt and Valley McGraw of Beckley; and a host of close friends.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bolt Fundamental Baptist Church Chapel with Pastors Jim Lucas, Lee Swor and Harry Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.
