Mrs. Margaret Fox, wife of Roland Fox and one of the most highly respected women of Perry township died Saturday, February 16, 1929 at 5 pm at her home near Brock. About five weeks ago Mrs. Fox suffered a stroke of paralysis and her decline was gradual from that time. Had she lived until the following day she would have been 81 years old, having been born February 17, 1848 in Whiteley township, where she spent her early life. She was a daughter of Christopher and Nancy Fox John, deceased and following her marriage to Roland Fox she resided the remainder of her life in Perry township. She was a member of the Valley Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church and lived a consistent Christian life. Besides her husband she leaves five daughters and three sons, namely: Mrs. M.C. (Belle) Kiger of Kirby; Mrs. W. E. Headley and Mrs. Lizzie (Mrs. Francis) Wade of Spraggs; Mrs. Flora (Mrs. James) Moore of Blacksville, W. Va. Mrs Reason Fox, G. N. Fox and Ross Fox at home. One sister, Mrs. Willie Vandruff of Kirby, and one brother, R.F. Johns of Waynesburg, also survive.
