BURNS PROVE FATAL.
Burns received when her clothes caught fire it is believed from a carbide lamp she was carrying in her home Sunday night, resulted in the death at 12:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon at St. John's hospital of Susie Alice Cook, 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Floyd Cook, 1841 South Twentieth street.
It is thought that her clothes caught fire from the lamp which she was carrying from one room to another. She was enveloped in flames before her parents could come to her assistance.
The girl is survived by her parents, two brothers, Earl Alfred and Thomas Floyd, jr. The body was taken to Bisch & Son's undertaking mortuary.

Funeral services for Susie Alice Cook, 8 years old, who died at St. John's hospital Tuesday from burns received when her clothing caught fire while playing with a carbide lamp, were held at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon from the family home. 1837 South Twentieth street, Rev. Hildebrandt officiating Burial was made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
