They had 9 children.
David was 6' 6" tall!
his parents were John T Short Jr and Eva Monical,
In 1865 he married Nancy A Mizer and had 4 more children.
In 1879 Sugar Creek flooded and at the time of David Short's death they were unable to get his body back to White Rock/Jane, Missouri for burial with the rest of the family.
Instead he was buried on the old homestead under a Cedar tree.
Which is very interesting, because he buried his first wife, Hannah on their property under a cedar tree, she has a stone, but she is all alone, there are no other graves on their old homestead. I do not believe there is a stone for David, and he too is all alone on his homestead, he had with his 2nd family.
