He was a retired coal miner.He was a member of the First Methodist Church Rich Creek, and member of the Giles Lodge #106 A.F.&A.M. of Pearisburg,He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Elva (Nance) Anderson and a brother Jess Anderson.He is survived by three son's Richard D. Anderson, of Frederick Maryland.Marvin Elmer Anderson Jr. Dublin,Virginia,Patrick Anderson of Oviedo,Florida.One daughter Phyllis Deloris (Anderson) Heim,of Virgina Beach,Va.One brother Tyler Anderson of Rich Creek.Twelve grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00p.m. at Riffes's Funeral Chapel in Narrows with the Rev. Don Stansell officiating. Entombment will follow in Birchlawn Abbey with rites conducted be the Giles Lodge #106 A.F.&A.M.The family will recieve friends at Riffe's Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00.
