resident of Modesto. She was a member of Free Methodist Church, Rose Avenue,
Modesto. She is survived by her children, Jeanie McCoy of Wilseyville, Ruth
Bates, Kathy Buth, and Kay Mooney, all of Modesto; Carl Wayne Pate of
Bakersfield; Connie De Mello, Rhonda Rogers and Steven W. Pate of Modesto;
and Synthia Wright of Baker City, OR; sister of Billy Ennis of Modesto; 18
grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
husband, William Pate and her daughter, Julia Bates Witt. Graveside Services:
2:00 P.M. Thurs, March 8; Lakewood Cemetery. Published in the Modesto Bee
