Mrs. Witt was a native of Tom, Okla., and had lived in Modesto since 1949. She was a home mortgage consultant and had worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 42 years. She was a member of Free Methodist Church. She was a former member of Rotary of Modesto and Executives Club of Modesto.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Witt of Modesto; son, Geoffry Witt of Modesto; mother, Hazel Pate of Modesto; brothers, Carl Wayne Pate of Bakersfield and Steven Pate of Modesto; sisters, Jeanie McCoy, and Ruthie Bates, Kathy Booth, Kay Mooney, Connie De Mello and Rhonda Rogers, all of Modesto, and Cynthia Wright of Oregon; and one stepgrandhild and one step-great-grandchild.
Visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs. A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with burial to follow at Acacia Memorial Park.
