Reinterred in Oak Woods CemeteryBible, Civil War and Census records for Daniel Tucker do not show him with a middle name or initial. I removed Bird as his middle name until documentation can be found.

Co. A, 64th. Virginia Mounted Infantry
Enlisted on 9/16/61 at Camp Lane, Lee Co.
Taken POW 9/9/63 at Cumberland Gap. Sent to Camp
Douglas 9/24/63 where held until 11/6/64 when he died of chronic diarrhea.Daniel Tucker was born in Surry Co., NC in 1832. Around 1838 his parents relocated to Lee Co., VA. The 1850 census shows the occupation for Daniel, his brother William and father, Thomas as Blacksmith in Lee Co., VA.

Daniel married Amanda Jane Greaver 4 November 1855 in Smyth Co., VA.
