Heart Trouble Thought to Have Been the Cause of His Sudden Demise
William Allison, one of the oldest citizens of Charleston township, fell back unconscious from his chair at the dinner table Sunday and died a few in moments later. The cause of death, which came very suddenly and unexpectedly by the family is thought to have been heart trouble.
Mr. Allison had not been ill and had been about his home performing the usual duties up to the time of his death.
William Allison was born at Erie, Pa. Nov. 21st seventy-three years ago and came directly to Charleston from that place about forty-five years ago and has since resided there, living a quiet and peaceful life.
He never was married and for some years past has lived with an only sister, Miss Agnes Allison. The deceased is survived by one sister, Miss Agnes Allison, two nephews, Chas. Allison of Charleston and Robert Tuttle of Erie, Pa-, and one niece, Mrs. Will Willison of Urbandale. Rev. W.S Potter of Battle Creek had charge of the funeral services which occurred this afternoon at two o’clock at the home in Charleston. The burial was made in the Territorial Cemetery.
