Mrs. Sarah Lee of Galesburg, Formerly of This Vicinity, Passed Away Friday
FUNERAL WAS HELD SUNDAY
Mrs. Sarah Bishop Lee of Galesburg, well known in this vicinity a few years ago, died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nora Smith, with whom she resided. She was 90 years old. She was the widow of the late Joseph Lee. For about 30 years they resided on a farm east of Augusta, on the South River road. Mrs. Lee was born February 14, 1844, in Ontario. At the age of 18 she came to Michigan to live with an uncle, Orrie Bush, three miles east of Galesburg. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nora Smith, of Galesburg, and Mrs. M. W. (Della) Hughes of Logansport, Ind. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary White, of Galesburg, and Mrs. Margaret Congo, of Ontario, and a brother, Orrie Bishop, of Medicine Hat, Alberta. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at which Rev. C. A. Clay officiated. Burial was made in the Lawler cemetery. Augusta Beacon January 8, 1935 page 1
