"Mrs. William Wooding has long been a sufferer with that dreaded disease "consumption". About three weeks ago, thinking she might be benefited by a change of climate, Mr. Wooding, at her request, took her to Kearney, Nebraska, where they had relatives, but the change did not result favorably and on Thursday she died. She was brought home Saturday and her funeral was preached in the Ocoya Church, by Rev. Merrit.
The congregation was so large that many were unable to get inside. The deceased was 44 years of age and for many years had been a constant member of the Christian Church. She leaves a husband and three children (one married) to mourn her death. The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement".
