MRS. L.P. VANDEVEER PASSED AWAY TUESDAY

End Came at Her Home in This City

Mrs. L.P. Vandeveer died at her home in this city Tuesday after a lingering illness. Her death marks the passing of a woman, who had been very well and favorably known in this community for many years. These friends unite in extending sympathy to the members of the family.
Ida Lieurance was born in the state of Illinois and had reached the age of 55 years, 7 months and 22 days. She spent her childhood in the state of her nativity.
Upon reaching young womanhood, she was married November 14, 1878 to L.P. Vandeveer. Shortly after their marriage, they came to Nebraska and located on a farm near Stella.
Eighteen years ago they removed to Auburn and have made this city their home ever since.
Mrs. Vandeveer was a woman, who lived her life quietly, modestly and unassumingly. She was true to the duties that wifehood and motherhood imposed upon her and was faithful in all things.
In her early youth she united with the Baptist church and was a woman of sincere religious convictions. She bore the trials of life cheerfully and her influence in the home and the community was always for good.
She has gone to the reward that she had earned and her friends mourn her passing and extend sympathy to the family.
Mrs. Vandeveer is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Flossie Hall of LaCrosse, Kansas, Glen Vandeveer, also of LaCrosse and Gale Vandeveer, who lives at home.
The funeral was held yesterday, the services being conducted at the home and later at the First Baptist church in Stella. The interment was in the Stella cemetery.
