Rachel was my paternal aunt, a younger sister of my dad's, William Alphonse Spargo. She was the seventh in line of children born to William Thomas Spargo and Emily Emma Forchette Spargo. She was born in Ewen, Mi., on January 26, 1932. She attended school in Ewen, Mi. She married Norman Kasten and together they had eleven children, 6 boys and 5 girls. Sons David, Dale, Norman, Bob, Kent & Scott, daughters Susie, Judy, Mary, Angie, & Laurie. They lived on farmland next to her parents. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, John & William and sisters Ada & Mary. She is survived by two sisters, Angeline and Rosie, all of her children and several grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by the Brown Funeral Home in Bruce Crossing, Mi. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen, Michigan.
