The funeral of Michael Currie was held this morning from the funeral home of James A Athy & Son. A high mass of requiem was celebrated in St Paul's Church, the Rev James A Nalley was the celebrant. The choir under the direction of John Mullaney, organist sang the Gregorian mass of requieum. There were many floral and spiritual offerings. The following delegation from Commodore Jack Barry, Branch Irish National Forestors were present at the funeral, John Finnegan, Patrick Houlihan, Michael Logan, Daniel J Clifford, James Reynolds and John F Hanley. The bearers were Vincent P O'Connor, Francis McHugh, John J McHugh, Edward L McHugh, all nephews, Francis L Parker and Joseph J Gaspar. Burial was in St John's Cemetery where the Rev Fr Nally read prayers.
