Wiebke Oesau --- Tri-County Record --- April 16, 1931

Mrs. Henry Oesau who was eighty-eight years of age, passed away at the home of her son, Theodore at Milwaukee on Thursday.

Mrs. Oesau's maiden name was Wiebke Catherine langemak. She was born Sept. 15, 1842 in Albersdorf, Schleswig, Holstein, Germany. At the age of 12 she came to America with her parents and settled at New Holstein.
Mrs. Oesau was married ot Simon Henry Oesau in 1869. The couple located on a farm two miles south of New Holstein, where they resided until 1900, when they retired to private life and established their home in the city of New Holstein.

Mr. Oesau passed away fourteen years ago, and a number of years ago Mrs. Oesau departed for Milwaukee where she has since made her home. During the Oesau's residence here they made their home in the house now occupied by the Herman Libke family.

Mrs. Oesau leaves to mourn her death, two daughters, Mrs. Henry Steenbock of Madison, and Mrs. William Kletzien of this city, and two sons, Theodore of Milwaukee and Gustave of Chilton. One son, Henry of Chilton, passed away a number of years ago.

Funeral services were held at the local Reformed church at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, the Rev. A. G. Schmid officiating, with interment in the local cemetery.
