Mrs. Johanna Severin, wife of the deceased Henry Severin, who was buried here ten years ago and who held the position as county superintendent in this county for a number of years, passed away on Monday, August 22nd, at Oakland, California. The remains left Oakland Tuesday evening and are expected here Saturday evening when they will be taken to the home of Hy. Oesau from which residence the funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. In 1856 Mrs. Severin came to New Holstein from Germany. Two sons, John H. and Herman H. of Oakland, Calif. remain to mourn her loss, besides a host of friends and a number of relatives.
