Colonel Glock first joined the National Guard serving from December 1933 until September 1940. In June of 1941 he was commissioned an Officer with the United States Army from the ROTC program at the University of Minnesota. He was evenutally promoted to the rank of Colonel, becoming a World War II, Korean and a Vietnam veteran. He finally retired in January of 1965. He was awarded the Legion of Merit medal, the Army Commendation medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal, the American Theater Campaign medal, the World War II Victory medal, the American Defense Service medal, the National Defense Service medal, Armed Forces Reserve medal and the General Staff Identification badge.
