Printed in Daily Herald, Biloxi, MS, on 11/16/1905:

"Mrs. Louisa Tremmel, one of Biloxi's oldest and most respected residents, died this morning at 5:30 o'clock, after a long illness. The deceased was 67 years of age and a native of Baden, Germany, but had resided in Biloxi for the past twenty-eight years. The surviving relatives are four sons and five daughters - Frank, August, Jake and George Tremmel, Mrs. Emile Desporte, Mrs. Charles Lanius and Misses Annie, Emma and Lilly Tremmel, all of whom were with her during her illness and at the time of her death, with the exception of Frank Tremmel, the oldest son, who lives in San Francisco, California, and is himself in bad health. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock from the late residence of the deceased, No. 209 Reynoir street, and friends and acquaintances of the family are respectfully invited to attend."

"The remains of Mrs. Louise(sic) Tremmel were laid to rest yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, in the presence of her grief-stricken family and a large number of friends who had come to pay the last sad tribute to a devoted mother and friend. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful, which spoke themselves of the high respect in which the deceased lady was held in the hearts of all those who has come on this sad errand."
