"James Hart, son of Stephen (mentioned above) born July 30, 1808 in Ashe County, NC and died March 25, 1889 Florence Tws, Stephenson County, IL. He married Nov 26 1829 Whitley Co, KY to Elizabeth Gatliff b 1812 Knox County, KY and died April 27 1850, Stephenson County, IL. Both are buried in James Hart Cemetery, Stephenson County, IL. She was d/o Christiana Gatliff. James and Elizabeth left KY around 1830 first going to Indiana then on the Stephenson County, IL where they owned a large farm There is a Hart School, which he donated land to build the school. The Cemetery is also on his farm. He was a well thought of citizen in his neighborhood."
