James "Ginger" Hale dies

James "Ginger" Hale, 83, died Monday, Feb 2, 1981 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was a lifetime resident of the Concordia and Jamestown areas.

Mr. Hale was born Nov 17, 1897 at Jamestown, to James Monroe Hale and Mary Frances Fudge Hale. He was married to Rosie L. Jewell, Aug 14, 1929 at Beloit, KS. He worked in the Concorida and Jamestown areas as a Cemetery Sexton for local funeral directors for many years. He also operated a trash hauling route.

Survivors are his wife of the home, three sons, Theodore Elijah and Verlene and Gilford Clarence and wife Juanita, all of Concordia; and George Monroe and wife Doris of Jamestown. a daughter, Geraldine and husband Kenny Owen Bunch, Calhoun, Ga., and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were Thursday morning, Feb 5,1981 at the Chaput-Bouy Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wilfred Hotaling officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Duane Hale, Fred Hale, Bobby Hale, Jerry Hale, Earl Hale and George Hale.

The family suggests memorials be given to the heart fund.
