Quinton was born in Liberty, Randolph county NC. His parents were James or Thomas Lowe and Jane Frazier Lowe. He was granted a huge tract of land by the Governor of Tennessee in the early 19th century for supplying horses, guns, and service to the U.S. military. It was either the Indian wars or the Mexican/American war that he accomplished all the actions according to his lifetime dates. The land covers Baxter and Boma, Tennessee. The cemetary that Quinton is in is marked by one large stone monument with his, his wife's, son, and daughter-in-law's names and death dates. On the other side of that monument stone is a story about how the Lowe's received that large amount of land. The individual graves are marked with stones at the head and foot of graves. There are no markings on the stones and they range in size from a softball to a basketball.
