Mrs Annie HINES, 82, widow of the late James A. Hines, Cresson, died April 11, 1932 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Charles Itle. She was the granddaughter of Jacob Troxell, the first settler in Cresson borough. She was born March 5, 1850, the daughter of William and Susan (Troxell) McDermott, both long deceased. She married James A. Hines on June 12, 1871 in the original St Aloysius Catholic Church, Summit. Surviving are six children: Mrs Elizaeth Beck, Mrs Susan O'Hara of Cresson, 34 grandchildren; 1 brother, Ferdinand McDermott. Burial at St Francis Church Cemetery. (Altoona Tribune, April 13, 1932)
