Appeared in Daily Herald on Feb 9, 1902:

"After a short illness, Miss Johanna Covasovich(sic) died at her home on east Howard avenue yesterday evening at 4:30 o'clock, in the 18th year of her age. Her death was a severe shock to her many friends here, to whom she had endeared herself by her sweet and loveable disposition".

Appeared in Daily Herald on Feb. 11, 1902:

"The funeral of Miss Johannah Covasovich(sic), the young lady who passed away from this life on last Saturday, will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence of her parents on Howard avenue, near Point Cadet. Friends and acquaintances of the family are respectfully invited to attend".

"The funeral of Miss Johannah Covasovich(sic) took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the family residence on Howard avenue and was attended by a large number of friends. The services were conducted by Rev. Father Alphonse. Interment was made in the Biloxi cementery".
