Marie Belle, 90, of OKC, passed away Aug. 10, 2009. She was born April 5, 1919 in Honey Grove, TX to Bonnie Cleo and Hattie Lee (Farrar) Thomason.

On Dec. 15, 1942, after graduating high school, Marie married Dan "Buddy" Tatum. Before retiring, she worked for Western Electric and AT&T. She loved the Lord and became a member of Southwest Baptist Church in 1962 where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School for 37 years. Her life was devoted to her church and her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, 2 brothers and her first grandson, Melvin Blazer, Jr.

She leaves wonderful memories with her son, Danny Tatum; daughters, Shirley Blazer and Patricia Douglas; brother, Glen Thomason; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be Friday at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
