The daughter of an Irish immigrants John Harvey and his wife, Margaret McHugh, "Maudie" married Charles Francis Vatterott I on 18 Sep 1901 in St. Louis, Missouri. They were the parents of 11 children.

Charles worked in a shirt factory for many years and was eventually promoted to foreman. He went on to have a successful career designing, cutting and manufacturing men's shirts.

One of Maudie and Charles' daughters, Rosa Mary, went on to become a nun. She was then known as Sister Mary Hubert.

3 of the Vatterott sons, Charles, Jr., Harvey and Joseph became real estate developers and builders. They helped develop areas including St. Ann, Missouri in northwest St. Louis County. Another Vatterott son, E. Warren, also worked in the building business. Son, Paul Vatterott, became a doctor.

Maudie was a member of St. Rita's Married Ladies' Sodality.

Maudie suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on 20 Sep 1932. She died at her home the following morning. At the time of her death, she was 51 years, 3 months and 21 days old.

She was survived by her husband, Charles; 7 sons, Charles F. Vatterott, Jr., J. Harvey Vatterott, Joseph H. Vatterott, Gregory B. Vatterott, Paul Vatterott, Glennon Vatterott and Warren Vatterott; 3 daughters, Margaret Riley, Constance Vatterott, and Rosemary Vatterott, candidate of the Notre Dame Order; her grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Susan Dillon, Rose Harvey and Agnes Graham.

In addition to her mother and father, Maudie was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Rita Vatterott.

Funeral services began at 8:30 a.m. on the morning of 24 Sep 1932 at the family home. From there, they proceeded to St. Rita's Catholic Church.

She was buried by her daughter, Rita.

Maudie's husband, Charles, passed away in 1966 and was buried next to her.

Children: 7 sons, 4 daughters.

Graham (nee Harvey) of Everett, Wash., Mrs. James J. Dillon, Mrs. Frank Hemberger, Mrs. Charles Vatterat [sic] (nee Harvey) and Rose Harvey, our dear grandmother and great-grandmother.

Funeral Monday, Sept. 21, at 8 a.m., from residence, Hanley and St. Charles Rock roads, St. Louis County, to Calvary Cemetery. Motor.
