He was the son of James Washington and Mary Serena (Farmer) Branom. He married Dung Huynh in 1974 in Vietnam. He was retired from the Army and Navy. He is survived by his wife; children, John Branom, Carol West, Tammy Branom, Loc Branom, Randy Branom, Mary Dietrich, Linda Branom, Donna Hoyer, Thomas Branom and Loan Huynh; sister, Okla Northcutt and numerous grand and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sherman, Berkley, Prentice, Homa and Bill Branom and sister, Velma Cunningham. Services will be Friday, Aug. 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Lehigh Cemetery.
