LIFE STORY OF MRS. EVA VINCENT – 87

Eva Ellenor Vincent, the daughter of James R. and Merle Severns, was born March 5, 1874 and died at her home Thursday, March 9, 1961, at the age of 87 years and 4 days. Under the care of her daughter, Mrs. Lillian Miller, she had been confined to her home in declining health for a considerable period of time.

On August 19, 1888, she was united in marriage to Nicholas E. Vincent. To this union four children were born, all of whom survive their mother. They are: Mrs. Merle Hann of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Lillian Miller of Harlan, Iowa; Mrs. Gladys Evans of Washington, Kentucky; and her son, Boyd, of Pico Riveria, California.

Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Lola Gruver of Council Bluffs, Iowa, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great-grandson and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Leo, Harry and Tommy; her three sisters, Inez, Edith and Bessie; her parents; and her husband who died in 1951.

The memorial service was held Saturday afternoon, March 11, 1961, at the Pauley Funeral Home with Pastor Herbert L. Anderson officiating, Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Glenn, Walter, Francis, Phillip and Harold Rihner, and Dale Griffith.
