In the Name of God Amen.

I, William Dunovant, of the District and State aforesaid, being of Sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, praised be God for the Same, do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say:-

1st Item, I give and devise all my real Estate, consisting of a plantation containing Six hundred Acres, more or less, situate on the Catawba River in Lancaster District, one part of which I purchased from Houze, and the other part from Kenny, unto my Son John Dunovant, resident in Chesterville, his heirs and assigns forever.--Also, I give and bequeath to my Son John Dunovant the following Negroes, to wit, Suck and her six children Sam, Lucy, Rachel, Sarah, Phoebe and Saina; Dila and her child Juliet, and
Doctor, together with the future increase of Said Negroes, to him and his heirs forever.--Also, I give and bequeath to my said son John Dunovant, all my stock of Horses, Cattle and Hogs, together with my household furniture and other property not otherwise disposed of, to him and his heirs forever.

--- 2nd Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy McDonald, widow of Middleton McDonald, deceased, the following Negroes, to wit, Winney and her two children George and Harriet, and their future increase, to her and her heirs forever.---And whereas I have heretofore given to my daughter Sarah Huey and Mary Hurst--such proportions of my Estate as I thought equitable and just, therefore.

--- 3d. Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Huey twenty five Dollars and no more, payable at my death, to her and her heirs forever:

--- Also, 4th. Item, I give and bequeath to the heirs of my daughter Mary Hurst, deceased, former wife of Henry Hurst, in equal shares, twenty five dollars, and no more, payable at my death, to them and their heirs forever.

--- 5th. Item, All the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate, both real and personal, should there be any not herein before disposed of, of what nature of Kind soever, I devise, give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my son John Dunovant, to him and his heirs forever.

--- 6th Item, I do will, order and direct, that all my just debts, funeral expences and the charges of proving this my will be, by my Executors hereinafter named, paid and discharged out of the whole amount of my personal Estate, each legatee herein before named paying in proportion to the amount of his or her legacy.

--- 7th Item, It is my will and pleasure, that the whole of my Lands and personal Estate remain together for the use of my wife Ann Dunovant during her natural life, should she survive me and at her death that the same be divided according to the above mentioned directions of this my last Will and Testament.

--- 8th Item, And I do hereby constitute and appoint my son John Dunovant the Sole Executor of this my last Will, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills and Testaments at any time heretofore by me made, and I do pronounce this to be my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have, at the bottom of the first page of this my will (the whole whereof is contained on one sheet of paper) subscribed my name, and to the second Page my hand and seal, this day of February, in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen.

Singed, sealed, declared and published by the above named William Dunovant, as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who, at his request, and in his presence, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
