Milford was born to Basil Newton Pierce, and Hazel C.Thompson Pierce on March 1, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a twin to Milton Pierce, who preceded him in death. Milford was one of 11 siblings. Several are now deceased including: Joseph Stanley Pierce, Stanley Timothy Pierce, Charles Edward Pierce, Basil Newton Pierce II, Franklin Milton Pierce, Mary Ellen Pierce Gruber.
Surviving siblings include: J. R. Pierce, J. M. Pierce and C. C. Pierce Gordon.
Milford married Freeda Beatrice Pierce and fathered 3 children: Milford Dewayne who preceded Milford in death and S. K. Pierce Parks and G F Pierce, who survive.
He served in both the Navy and US Air Force.
He was a kind, gentle person who loved to laugh and never had an enemy. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband and father and missed by any who knew him.
