Elizabeth Heater, nee Snyder, was born in Zanescille, Ohio in Dec. 1858. She came to Adams county with her husband and their family in 1889 and settled on a ranch in the Rattlesnake Flats district. They have resided in this district ever since. She was a member of the Methodist church and always took an active part in its affairs.
Besides her widower, Edward Heater, she is survived by threes sons, Elliot of Grandview, Wash.; Alvin of Merced, Calif.; and Earl, a geologist of Baba New Guinea; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Wright of Billings, Montana. Three brothers; William Snyder, pioneer Washtucna merchant; Dr. Charles Snyder of Baltimore, Maryland, and Dr. George Snyder of San Francisco and a sister; Mrs. Christina Sylvester of Seattle.
