Louis Murphy, 8285 Walker Road, Pleasure Ridge Park, a retired farmer, died at 1 a.m. Saturday at SS Mary & Elizabeth Hospital after a heart attack. He was 69 and had been in ill health for 14 years. Born in New Hope, he came to Jefferson County about 1932. Surviving are five sons, Samuel W. Murphy, Pleasure Ridge Park, Andrew R. Murphy, LaGrange, and Lewis, William and David Murphy; four daughters, Mrs. Ray Winters, Shelbyville, Mrs. William E. Allen, Crestwood, Mrs. Alonzo Mattingly, Prospect, and Mrs. Pearl Hardin; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Herbert C. Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
