Lula Caroline Jackson

Services for Lula Caroline Jackson 99, of Cleburne will be conducted Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the chapel of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie with the Rev. Nina Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be three grandsons and five great-grandsons. Great-grandsons and grandsons-in-law will be honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Jackson died Sunday, Sept. 8, 1996, in a regional hospital.
She was born near Itasca Nov. 25, 1896, the daughter of Ed and Julia Henry. She was married to Jimmy Houston Jackson Jan. 2, 1916, in Ozro.
Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and had lived 74 years in Ozro and 21 years in Cleburne. She was a lifetime member of Auburn and Maypearl United Methodist Churches.
Survivors include one daughter, Velma Parker of Cleburne; one son, James Jackson of Venus; one foster son J.L. Segars of Waxahachie; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Houston Jackson who died in 1958; one son, Henry Houston "Buck" Jackson who died in 1974; one daughter, Lula Faye Jackson who died in 1932; one grandson, Jimmy Parker who died in 1962; and three brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of other memorials, the family requests memorials be made to Maypearl United Methodist Church.
The family will receive visitors today from 6-8 p.m. in Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
