Erastus Holt, b. Hampton Sep. 8, 1778; m. June 1, 1800, Sally, daughter of
Isaiah Parmenter; he removed in 1799 to the town of Stockbridge, Vt., where he
married; in 1803 removed to Pittsfield, Vt., at which place he was living 1861
in his 83d year. He has been justice of the peace 34 consecutive years;
representative to general assembly 9 years consecutively, and 13 years in all;
delegate to the constitutional convention 2 years; farmer, and attorney and
counsellor. 12 ch.
