Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Miner Chapel for Harry E. Cady, 82, of Grout Township, who died Saturday after several months illness. The Rev. Harold Sloan and the Rev. Earl Fogelsonger officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Born on Dec. 13, 1878, at Holton, Ind., he moved to Iowa as a young man. It was there he was married to the former Miss Doris Meyer on Dec. 4, 1904 at Fort Dodge. They came to Gladwin County to settle in Secord Township in 1911, and in 1938 he moved to Grout Township to make his home with his son, Melvin.
Survivors include two sons, David, of Midland, and Melvin, of Gladwin; one brother, James, of Holton, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Ensminger, of Holton; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Gladwin County Record dated 12-6/1961 Column - 2 Page - 1.
