IN DETROIT HOSPITAL
Rev. Bernard Roth conducted funeral services Tuesday afternoon, May 22, at the Carlsburg Lutheran church in Clare county for Mrs. Norman Weiss, followed by burial at Highland cemetery at Gladwin.
Vernis Cady, daughter of Harry Cady, was born in June, 1908, in Iowa. The family came to Gladwin during her childhood, and located on a farm in Secord township. For the past seven years she has been employed at the Foutch restaurant as a waitress, where she made many friends among the patrons.
She was married February 10, 1934, to Norman Weiss at Oberlin by Rev. Bernard Roth, and afterwards went to Detroit to make her home. She died at a hospital there May 19 of throat infection.
Surviving her are her husband, Norman Weiss, of Detroit; her father, Harry Cady, and two brothers, Melvin and David Cady of Gladwin; and one sister, Mrs. Stella Anders, of Midland county. Gladwin County Record dated 5-24/1934
